The Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for the 2024 Schuylkill Winterfest in Downtown Pottsville.
Rain or shine, mark your calendars for Saturday, January 20, when Downtown Pottsville will come alive from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The Winterfest footprint spans from Alvernia Pottsville CollegeTowne, down Progress Avenue to the intersection of E. Norwegian Street.
President & CEO of the Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce, Robert S. Carl, Jr., stating, “We are incredibly excited to bring the community together for the 2024 Schuylkill Winterfest. This festival is not just an event; it’s a celebration of community.”
Carl said the event not only signifies togetherness, but also stimulates the local economy, shows support of local, small businesses, and provides organizations with community outreach effort opportunities.
The event will include:

The event will include:
- Kids Corner: The parking lot of Alvernia University Pottsville CollegeTowne, at 500 Progress Avenue, Pottsville, PA 17901, will host a vibrant Kids Corner featuring a castle jumper, crafts, face painting, and more.
- Live Entertainment: The Explore Schuylkill Stage, situated at the intersection of Logan and Arch Streets, Pottsville, PA 17901, will be the focal point for live entertainment throughout the day. The lineup includes performances by The Boys Upstairs (1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.), a chance to meet the contestants of the Greater Pottsville Winter Carnival (3:15 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.), and the energetic Hooligan taking the stage from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Yuengling Beer Bar: Proudly sponsored by Hidden River Credit Union, the Yuengling Beer Bar will be located on E. Arch Street, between PA CareerLink and the plaza housing Dollar General.
- Vendors: Progress Avenue will be transformed into a bustling marketplace, featuring over 25 craft, food, and spirit vendors, providing a diverse array of offerings for attendees to explore and enjoy.
