The Pennsylvania State Police Liquor Control Enforcment recently cited a Schuylkill County business for multiple infractions to the Pennsylvania Liquor Code.
According to information released by the District Enforcement Office, which is part of the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcment, the business cited was the Top Dog Bar and Grill in St. Clair.
The violations include:
- Violation of Section 471 of the Liquor Code - On June 29th, August 7th, October 21st, and October 25th - Servants or Employee possessed or operated gambling devices or permitted gabling or lotteries, poolselling and/or bookmaking on their premises.
- Violation of Section 493(12) of the Liquor Code - Servants or Employees failed to maintain complete and truthful records covering the operation of the licensed business for a period of 2 years prior to November 28th, 2023.
- Violation of Section 492(8) of the Liquor Code - On the dates of January 10th, 17th, 21, 28th, March 21st, 27th, April 3rd, 10th, 18th, 26th, May 1st, 2nd, 7th, 9th, 17th, 18th, 20th, June 3rd, 13th, 20th, 27th, July 3rd, 17th, 24th, 31st, August 7th, 26th, September 7th, 19th, October 2nd - servants or employees transported malt or brewed beverages without a license.
The charges will be brought before an Administrative Law Judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. The judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation of the license based on the severity of the charges. Training can also be mandated to educate the licensee.
