John Howard Pap Emerich, 86, of N. Tulpehocken St., Pine Grove, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024 at home.Born on April 18, 1937 in Stouchsburg, Berks Co., he was a son of the late Howard and C. Pauline Reigel Emerich.
He was a 1956 graduate of Hamburg High School.
John was a Dairy Farmer most of his life until the passing of his father in 1987. He enjoyed working beside his father running the Emerich farm. He then started working for the Pine Grove Area School District and retired in 2005.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove, H.H. & L. Fire Co. #1, North End Fire Co., Pine Grove American Legion, and the Pine Grove VFW. He enjoyed playing games, especially cards, with his family.
Preceding him in death was a sister Jane Emerich White.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years on Christmas Day, Georgia Haldeman Emerich; two daughters, Sherry Sawyer of Orwigsburg and Sally Burke of Pine Grove; seven grandchildren, Hannah Kleckner, Corey, David, Patrick and Charles John Fehr, Brady and Kyler Burke; four great grandchildren, Kylee Fehr, Ace, Maverick, and Elias Burke; nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove with Pastor Chris Laughlin officiating. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove.

Thomas Patric “Dinker” Adamchick, 74, of St. Clair passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at LVHN-Cedar Crest, Allentown.
Born in Pottsville on January 30, 1949, he was the son of the late Martin and Margaret (Ryan) Adamchick.
A graduate of St. Clair Area High School, Dinker retired from the Borough of St. Clair as foreman for the Street Department. He was a member of the St. Clair Fish and Game, St. Clair Borough Council, and the Alerts Fire Company in St. Clair.
Surviving is his wife of 43 years, Kathleen (Sponhouse) Adamchick, daughter, Dr. Susan Rux, and her husband, Ronald, of Mohnton, two grandchildren Peyton and Skylar Rux, sister, Marlene Kilcullen, and her husband, Thomas, of Pottsville.
The Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at 7:30 PM from the Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home, 110 North Second Street, St. Clair, PA 17970. Rev. Msg William Glosser will be officiating. Friends may call on Thursday from 6:00 PM-7:30 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family would prefer donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105 or Fox Chase Cancer Center, 333 Cottman Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19111.
Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Elona “Mona” Meyer, 71, of St. Clair passed away Thursday January 11, 2024 at her home.
Born January 20, 1952, She was daughter of the late Michael and Margaret (Manura) Udut.
She was a 1969 graduate of St. Clair High School and went on to study Art and Psychology at Kutztown University.
A talented artist and lover of Native American culture, Mona was known for her beautifully crafted jewelry and Native American crafts. Her Eastern European heritage also led to a deep appreciation for Slavic Folk Art.
Elona worked for the Shoeneman Corporation in the Inventory Control and Receiving Departments.
She was of the Orthodox Faith and grew up attending St. Michael Orthodox Church in St. Clair.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Meyer in 2016.
Surviving are her beloved pets Ru and Ruby, a tight circle of trusted friends, God-Daughter Denise (Semanco) Spayd of St. Clair, cousins and extended family.
Funeral Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family; Burial will be in St. Michael Orthodox Cemetery, St. Clair.

Born in Saint Clair, PA on January 15, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Getsie) Klemer.
Madeline was a graduate of Saint Clair High School, Class of 1949. She was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in St. Clair.
She was the last member of her immediate family, being preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 71 years, George S. Wonchalk on May 29, 2021, granddaughter Chanel Bender; sisters: Theresa Klemer and Dorothy Donaldson, and brothers: Edward, Vincent, and twins Thomas and James Klemer.
Madeline is survived by three daughters: Barbara Docherty and her husband Francis, Saint Clair; Carol Sabados and her husband Russell, Cleona; and Diane Bender and her husband Gerardo Talamantes, Saint Clair; eight grandchildren: Bryan Docherty and his wife Michele, Nicole Reidler and her husband Michael, Christopher Docherty, Justin Sabados and his wife Maria, Ryan Sabados and his wife Alison, Eric Bender and his wife Heather, Stephanie Gross and her husband Jereme, and Gerardo Talamantes Jr and his wife Megan; nine great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held private.
