William A. (Bill) Reppy, III, 92, of Orwigsburg, passed away Tuesday, January 16th, at Lehigh Valley Health Network Schuylkill-East, Pottsville.Bill was born in Pottsville on May 26, 1931, a son of the late Mable (Knittle) and William A. Reppy, II
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Teresa Margaret (Stephen) Reppy.
He was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven.
Bill was a graduate of Pottsville High School and also served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Before retiring, he worked as a maintenance mechanic at Shalmet in Orwigsburg.
In addition to his wife Teresa, William is survived by his daughter, Christine (Ralph) Spearly, two sons William J. (Nancy) Reppy and Daniel V. (Randy) Reppy, along with five grandchildren - Michelle (Luke) Simonetti, Matthew (Raylee) Spearly, Danielle Nattermann, Patrick (Meredith) Spearly and Kyle Reppy; twelve great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four sisters: Mable Fernsler, Joyce Cleary, Mildred Mullins, Anna Rokosky as well as two brothers, George and Franklin Reppy.
Bill was a volunteer firefighter with Friendship Hose Company Orwigsburg for many years. Bill was proud of his volunteer work to help raise funds to build the new Saint Ambrose Church in Schuylkill Haven. In his retirement he was an avid gardener, and an enthusiastic supporter of his grandchildren and great grandchildren’s athletic endeavors. He was a loyal fan of Kyle’s Blue Mountain Soccer Team.
An evening visitation will be held on Sunday, January 21 from 5-7 PM at Hamilton - Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. in Orwigsburg.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, January 22nd at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church in Schuylkill Haven with Rev. Msgr. Edward S. Zemanik officiating. The public is again invited from 9:15 to 10:15 in the church chapel. Interment, with military honors, will follow at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church 201 Randel Street Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972.
Eleanor M. (Semansky) Honrychs, 88 formerly of Shenandoah and Collingswood, New Jersey passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024 in Millville, NJ.
Born in Shenandoah on June 30, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Vera (Pletnick) Semansky.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 19, 2024 at 10:00 am in Divine Mercy Church, 232 West Cherry Street, Shenandoah with Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor as the celebrant. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Dawn Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. A viewing will be held on Friday morning from 9:00 am until 10:00 am at the church.
Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 South Jardin Street, Shenandoah is in care of the arrangements.
Dennis Wiessner, 76, of Mahanoy City, PA, passed away Wednesday, January 17th, at St. Luke’s Allentown.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
Kenneth R. Schaffer Sr., 78, of Ashland passed away January 18, 2024 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill East.

Sharron L. Dennis, 80, formerly of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Wednesday, January 17th, at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville.
Born in Vallejo, CA on October 9, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Roland F. & Bertha E. (Keyser) Smith.
She was the widow of Francis L. Dennis.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by her sister, Zella Kehoe, and half siblings: Ted, & Leona Smith.
Sharron was a homemaker, but had also worked as a Bus Aide for Delaware County Transportation Consortium.
She served as a Girl Scout troop leader for many years, and formerly belonged to the Red Hat Society.
Sharron is survived by her children: Dawn DeWitt (Richard), Dana Shown, & Derrick Dennis (Clancy), all of Mahanoy City, step-daughter, Darla Ernest, Delaware County, 17 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, sister, Patricia Brady, Sicklersville, NJ, and half sister, Rebecca Smith, Washington.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, January 22nd at Geschwindt Stabingas Ebling Funeral Home, Inc., Schuylkill Haven, with Certified Celebrant, Rebecca D. Devlin officiating.
Interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, will be held at a later date.
Charles C. “Chester” Snyder, 78, of Andreas, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024, in St. Luke’s Hospital, Carbon Campus. He was the husband of the late Jean A. (Troxell) Snyder. Together, they were co-owners of Charles S. Snyder, Inc. Farm Equipment, Tamaqua.

Tracy E. Kuczynski, age 62, of Mahanoy City, passed away Wednesday morning at her home.
Born at the former Pottsville Hospital she was the daughter of the late Thomas E. Tempest and Helen E. Kromer. She attended area schools.
She was preceded in death by 2 brothers Thomas A. Kromer and Jason Sivak.
She is survived by her husband David, two children Nicole Kuczynski and Travis A. Kromer a sister Barbara Kromer and two brothers Dennis Tempest and John Kromer.
Services will be private.

Charles C. “Chester” Snyder, 78, of Andreas, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024, in St. Luke’s Hospital, Carbon Campus. He was the husband of the late Jean A. (Troxell) Snyder. Together, they were co-owners of Charles S. Snyder, Inc. Farm Equipment, Tamaqua.
Born in Tamaqua, he was the son of the late Charles F. and Kadie M. (Jones) Snyder. He was a member of St. Peter’s Church, West Penn. Chester was a life-long farmer and he enjoyed and was competitive with his tractor pulling team. He was instrumental in starting the New Penn Jersey Tractor Pullers Association Inc. Family was an important part of Chester’s life.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, James Samuel.
Surviving are three daughters, Cathy, wife of Terry Wehr, of Tamaqua, Charlene, wife of Scott Coombe, of Andreas, and Cheryl, wife of Charles Kistler Jr, of Tamaqua; brother, Rev. Russell Snyder, and his wife, Diane, of Andreas; four sisters, Edna, wife of Erlin Moyer, of New Ringgold, Nancy, wife of Richard Knadler, of Tamaqua, Hope, wife of Joe Gramlich, of Palm Bay, FL, and Sarah, wife of Rev. Glenn Rarick, of Tamaqua; six grandchildren, Christopher, Daniel and Shane Coombe, Rodney Wehr, Rachel Foster, and Ty Kistler; seven great grandchildren, Kenton, Kadie, Madison, Liam, Waylon, Kolby, and Weston; companion, Charlotte Miller, of Lehighton; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11am on Saturday, January 27, at St. Peter’s Church, West Penn, 184 St. Peter’s Road, Tamaqua, PA 18252, with Rev. Glenn Rarick and Rev. Russell Snyder officiating. Call at the church on Friday from 6-8pm and Saturday from 9-11am. Interment in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the church. Arrangements are being handled by the Hartman Funeral Home, 1791 West Penn Pike, Rte. 309, New Ringgold.
