Carol Carlson, 82, went to be with the Lord on Jan. 4, 2024 at Luther Ridge in Pottsville, PA, where she lived for over two years.Carol was born April 26, 1941 to the late Carl H. Carlson, Sr. & Loueen Jennie (Trone) Carlson in Worcester, Mass. She was a 1958 graduate of Caribou High School. In 1961, Carol earned her RN from New England Baptist Hospital, Boston. As an RN she worked at New England Baptist Hospital, and in 1999 she retired from South Shore VA, Mass.
Carol's favorite place was Madawaska Lake where she lived for over 20 years after retiring. She loved to travel, sew quilts, do crossword puzzles, and was an avid reader. She was a passionate Boston Red Sox fan and was a season ticket holder for many years. Anyone who met Carol knew she loved her cats.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of New Sweden, ME.
Carol is survived by her sisters, Lois, wife of Ward Ketch, Sch. Haven, PA, Gail, wife of Stanley Hildahl, Hemet, CA, and Susan Webb, South Hamilton, Mass., 6 nephews, & 2 nieces.
Carol is pre-deceased by her parents and 2 brothers, Carl "Kim" Carlson, Jr. & David Carlson.
Interment services will be held in the spring at New Sweden Cemetery, ME.
Geschwindt Stabingas Ebling FHI, Sch. Haven, PA and Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou, ME, have been entrusted with arrangements.
