Born in Pottsville on April 29, 1955, he was a son of the late Arno & Betty (Koch) Kolbe.
David graduated from Blue Mountain High School in 1973. In his early years David was an accomplished saxophone player, playing in bands and participating in several Philadelphia Mummer parades. He volunteered with Liberty Fire Company number 4 Schuylkill Haven and volunteered with Lions Club Ambulance.
David's careers included: manager at Boyer’s IGA (Schuylkill Haven), he later managed several Redners Warehouse Markets in North Eastern, PA. Following grocery store management he became a local delivery truck driver for Lance Foods Inc. Towards the end of his career he worked at the Schuylkill IU and Schuylkill Haven School Districts as a teacher’s Aide.
David is survived by four children: Michael Kolbe & wife, Sarah, Schuylkill Haven, Krysta Weidert & husband, Adam, Aberdeen, NC, Steven Kolbe & wife, Jada, Cumbola, & Kaitlynn Bensinger & husband, Robert, Orwigsburg. He is also survived by three grandchildren: Olivia Kolbe, Connor, & Everlee Bensinger.
An evening will be held at Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home, Cressona from 4-6 PM Tuesday, February 27th.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, February 28th at Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home, Cressona. An additional time for viewing will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of service. Interment will follow at Cressona Cemetery, Cressona.

Born in Pottsville, PA on August 28, 1937, the son of the late Donald B. and Margaret ( Leonard) Hoak.
Don was a graduate of Pottsville High School, Class of 1955. He worked as an operator for the Pottsville Area Sewer Authority for 22 years until retiring. Don served in the US Army as a Sergeant. He was a member of the Walter L. Griffth AMVETS, Post 180 in Pottsville and St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Pottsville. Don was a Democratic Committee Man in the 80's and 90's and he enjoyed playing the guitar.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Marie Theresa (Kowalchick) Hoak on October 3, 2020, a son Gary Hoak, a brother Harold Hoak, a sister-in-law Arlene Hoak, and a brother-in-law William Kowalchick.
Don is survived by four sons: Greg (Lisa) Hoak, Gerald Hoak, Glenn (Karen) Hoak, and Gil (Patricia) Hoak; a daughter Gina McGinley; a daughter-in-law Sharon Hoak; 10 grandchildren: Greg Jr. (Leah), Luke (Ashley), Kelly (Charlie), Allison (Nick), Jason (Maggie), Madison, Neena, Carly, Jillian, and Megan; 6 great-grandchildren: Ava, Aubrey, Addison, Cole, Finley, Della; a brother Leonard Hoak; two sisters-in-law Shirley Hasenauer and Cynthia Hoak; and nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home in Port Carbon at 11AM on Tuesday February 27th, with Deacon John Setlock officiating.
Relatives and Friends are invited to visit with the family on Tuesday morning from 10-11AM at the Funeral Home.
Interment will be held in the Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery in Pottsville.

Harvey C. Reiner Sr., 84, of Long Stretch Rd., Pine Grove, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at home surrounded by family.
Born on November 30, 1939 in Donaldson, he was a son of the late Harvey Albert and Veronica Pothering Reiner.
He attended Frailey Twp School and graduated from Tremont High School.
Harvey was an Army Veteran having served during the Vietnam War.
He was a Truck Driver for Gold Mills in Pine Grove.
Harvey loved going for rides, hunting, camping, fishing, the outdoors and going to the Gratz Auction on a Friday.
Preceding him in death were two sisters, Jean Morgan and Lenna Reiner; and a brother Ted Reiner.
Surviving are three sons, Lawrence Reiner of Tremont, Harvey Reiner, Jr. of Pine Grove, Kenneth Sr. and wife Wendy Reiner of Berwick; four daughters, Olicha Wesch of Berwick, Charlotte and husband Dave Kerr of Tower City, Margie, wife of the late Wayne Kimmel of Donaldson, Danielle and husband James Nesbitt of Washingtonville; 16 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Max.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 26, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc, Pine Grove with Chaplain Donald Wetzel officiating. There will be a viewing on Sunday, February 25, 2024 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Muir.
