A child was transported to the hospital after a crash in Rush Township on Friday.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, the crash occurred around 6:30pm on Route 309 near the intersection with Fairview Street.
Troopers say Tiffany Blashock, 34, of Mahanoy City was driving a Subaru south on Route 309 when she rear ended a Honda that was traveling in front of her and slowing for a traffic light at the intersection.
Blashock's vehicle sustained heavy front-end damage and had to be towed from the scene.
Blashock was not injured but a 5-year-old child that was properly secured in a child safety seat transported to the hospital for possible injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
