On Friday night, North Schuylkill's Jack Keiter made history as he became the school district's all-time boys leading scorer.
Keiter has been continuously one of the top scorers each game for North Schuylkill for the past 2 seasons.
North Schuylkill travelled to Blue Mountain on Friday night to play Pottsville in a District XI 4A consolation game where Keiter entered the game with 1,378 points and ranked 2nd in all-time boys scoring for the district. Keiter surpassed Terry Rakowsky's 1,363 points during Tuesday's game versus Blue Mountain and needed 10 points to pass Garrett Kelly's record set in 2008.
With 2:30 left on the clock in the 1st half of the game, Keiter hit a 3-pointer to etch his name at the top of the boys' list.
Keiter continued to score and finished the game with 16 points. North Schuylkill would lose to Pottsville 58-44, ending their season.
Keiter's final point tally for his career and the new top score is set at 1,394 points.
