The allegations stem from an encounter on Saturday, March 2nd, 2024, as detailed in court papers filed by Minersville Police Patrolman Jakob Kerby against Christopher Moore, 41, of Minersville.
According to the documents, at approximately 3:30 PM, Patrolman Kerby responded to a report of trespassing at 538 North Delaware Avenue, the location of the soccer field, which is owned by Minersville Borough and leased to the Minersville Youth Soccer Association.

Upon arrival, Kerbby encountered Moore, who had parked his blue and white 2008 Chevrolet Ambulance at the rear of the field and was overseeing his children riding small dirt bikes in the area.
Kerby and Minersville Mayor Sean Palmer informed Moore that driving on the field was prohibited. However, Moore allegedly engaged in a heated argument with Mayor Palmer, during which he reportedly threatened to drive the ambulance through the field.

Despite the warning, Moore allegedly proceeded to carry out his threat on the following Monday, March 4th.
After receiving reports of the incident, Kerby conducted an investigation, which included measurements and photographs of tire tracks left on the soccer field. Subsequently, Kerby located Moore's blue and white 2008 Chevrolet Ambulance on Brier City Road in Minersville, where further measurements and tire pattern analysis were conducted. Patrolman Kerby claims the evidence gathered indicates a match between the tire tracks found on the field and those of Moore's vehicle.
Based on the findings, Kerby alleges that Moore caused damage to the Minersville Borough Soccer Field and is seeking restitution in the amount of $2,190 to repair the damage.
Moore now faces charges of criminal mischief, institutional vandalism, and trespass by motor vehicle. These charges were filed through Magisterial District Judge Dave Plachko's office.
