Michael L."Coondog" Cooney, 52 of Shenandoah passed away Friday, March 15,2024 at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Schuylkill East Norwegian Street, Pottsville with his family at his side.
Services will be private.
Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, Shenandoah is in care of the arrangements.

Born in Ashland, he was a son of the late Nicholas and Anna (Chrin) Klevis. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Frackville.
Paul was a 1971 graduate of North Schuylkill High School and Vocational School. After high school, he continued his education and graduated from Stevens Trade School, Lancaster in 1973. Paul started his own business, Paul Klevis Home Improvement, which he owned and operated for over 50 years.
Throughout his time in the home improvement business, he dedicated much of his time to the community of Frackville. He held many board positions including the past president of the Frackville Downtown Revitalization, Annunciation BVM Holy Name Society, Frackville Lions Club, Frackville Jaycees, Frackville Car Cruise Committee and was also a board member of the Upper Schuylkill Board of Directors.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Engle.
Paul is survived by his two sons: Shawn Klevis and his wife Lauren, Frackville; Brandon Klevis, California; his grandson, Carson; his sisters: Marianne Smith, Carol Klevis and Lori Kaplafka; his former wife, Janice; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 21st at 9:30 a.m. from Calvary Baptist Church, 139 S. Center Street, Frackville with Pastor Joshua Hughes officiating. Friends are invited to his viewing at Calvary Baptist Church on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Thursday morning from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be held in St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Frackville.
