Lucille M. Palmer
, 88, of Schuylkill Haven, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 22nd, at Providence Place Retirement Community, Pine Grove.

Born in Dilltown, PA on July 20, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Henry A. & Mary A. (Rose) Tomb.

Lucille married her late husband, Donald N. "Pete" Palmer August 20th, 1955.

After graduating from Armagh High School, she attended Slippery Rock State Teachers College, majoring in Physical Education.

The proprietor of "Just Bears and Baskets", Lucille had also worked various retail positions, as well as a library assistant.

Lucille was an active member of United Methodist Church in Bouckville, NY and had served as a Cub Scout Den Mother.

She never missed grandchildren's sporting events, recitals, graduations, and birthdays even if it meant she had to be there virtually. An adventurer, Lucille traveled across the country and went on many vacations with her family, even in the last decade. She was a fighter, beating cancer twice in her lifetime, defying the odds at age 86. Lucille was known as a night owl, staying up late to complete crossword puzzles and watching her favorite shows.

Lucille is survived by her daughter, Bonna, wife of Richard Hughes, of Albuquerque, NM; and son, Barry, husband of Shelly Palmer, of Schuylkill Haven. She is also survived by grandchildren, Katherine Hughes-Martinez, wife of Estevan and Richard Hughes, significant other of Aubriana of Albuquerque, NM; nieces, Paula Adams, wife of Scott of Fleetwood, PA; Kristine Reese of Fayetville, OH; Karol Heyman of Grove City, OH; Karen Gresham of Colorado Springs, CO; and Robin Rozsi of Uniontown, OH.

In addition to her husband and parents, Lucille is preceded in death by her siblings, Iva L. Boyd and Alvin M. Tomb; infant niece; brother-in-law, J. Tom Boyd; and her beloved Shihtzu, Murphy and Lhasa Apso, Chaucer.

A graveside committal service will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, March 28th at Armagh Cemetery with Rev. Barry Brown officiating.

James F. (Mo) Moyer
, 85, of Orwigsburg, passed away Peacefully Saturday, March 23rd, at his residence with his family by his side.

Mo was born in Orwigsburg, on June 14, 1938, a son of the late Helen Mae (Strouse) and William Charles Moyer.

He was the husband of Ruthann (Smith) Moyer. They were married February 5th, 1961.

He was a lifetime member of St. John's United Church of Christ Orwigsburg. In addition to being a member of his church, he served on consistory and served on the cemetery committee for many years. He was responsible for the restoration and resetting of many cemetery stones.

Mo was employed as a Calender Operator for the former, Reneer Films, now Omnova of Auburn, for Over 32 years.

He was a longtime member of the Schuylkill Lodge #138, F & A M. Mo was past master and secretary for many years. He was also known as "Schmo the Klown". He voluntarily performed for many MDA events He was a member of the Rajah Past Masters Club, and the Schuylkill Shrine Club, and Clown Unit. He was also a member of the Tall Cedars. For many years he was a transport driver for Shriner's Children's Hospital, with over 100 trips to Philadelphia. He and his wife Ruthann were EMTs for the First Ambulance Association of Orwigsburg. He was a past Webelos Scout Leader. Mo was an avid photographer and he had his own photography business. He took many photos for local weddings.

In addition to Ruthann, his wife of 63 Years, Mo is survived by his two daughters, Deb, wife of Gene Galbraith and Janelle, wife of Todd Bensinger; two sons Dennis Moyer, husband of Shelly and Ed Moyer.

He is also survived by grandchildren Francis Letcavage; Joshua Galbraith, companion of Erin; Christopher Galbraith, husband of Kelsey; Emily Myers, wife of Bryan; Michaela Benito, wife of Anatole; Quentin Moyer and Adam Moyer. Mo's great grandchildren are Thiago, Haydan & Evelina Benito and Jaxon Leo Galbraith. He is also survived by his sister in law Fern Moyer, Nieces & Nephews and also his feline friend Buster the cat.

Mo was preceded in death by his son Craig Alan Moyer, great granddaughter Isabella Grace, niece Deborah Moyer and also his brother Charles Moyer.

A Masonic Services will be held at 11:00 AM , followed by a Memorial Service at 11:15 on Saturday, April 6th at Hamilton- Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. in Orwigsburg, Rev. Jeff Johnson will officiate the service, interment will be private.

Visitation in the funeral home will begin at 9:00 until time of service at 11:00

Jeanette Ann (Ferris) Snopek
, age 78, of Pottsville, PA passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, March 23rd, 2024 at her home.

Born in Frackville, Pa. on April 7, 1945, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Kalil) Ferris.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Daniel J. Ferris

Jeanette is survived by four daughters: Lisa M. MacCord, Pottsville, Janene E. MacCord, Pottsville Tonya K. Joy and her husband Gary, Port Carbon, and Danyel J. Snopek and her husband Vinny, Port Carbon; a son David J. Snopek and his wife Janel, Pottsville; twelve grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters: Helen Tebin, Port Carbon and Mary Ann Marks, Port Carbon; 4 nieces and a nephew.

Funeral Services will be held private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Jeanette to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.

The Robert A Evans Jr Funeral Home in Port Carbon is in charge of arrangements.

Tara Jo Bullock
, 41, a resident of St. Clair, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, March 24th, 2024.

Tara Jo was born in Naples, Florida on August 12, 1982. She was a graduate of the East Stoudsburg Area High School, and was last employed as a claims representative in the insurance industry.

She enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, hiking and camping with her family, and attended the LCBC church in Hazleton.

Tara Jo was preceded in death by a sister, Lashawna Howell in June of 2022.

Surviving are her husband, Jay Bullock of St. Clair and children, Kaleb Ortiz of East Stroudsburg; Abby Bullock and Chance Bullock, both of St. Clair, and Anna Marie Bullock of York, along with a granddaughter, Bailey Marie Ott.

She is also survived by her mother and father, Roger and Patricia Ashcraft of Mt. Pocono; a brother Zachariah Howell and a sister Danielle Walker, both of Ohio.

A celebration of life service honoring Tara Jo will be held later this year, and will be announced by her family.

The Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home is assisting Tara Jo's family during their time of need.

Dorothy R. Lindenmuth, 75, of Turkey Run, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at the Lehigh Valley Schuylkill East Hospital in Pottsville.

Born in Shenandoah on December 6, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Joseph J. Harding Sr. and Dorothy Windish.

She was a 1966 graduate of the former J.W. Cooper High School. Dorothy retired from Hershey Foods as a robotics operator. Prior to that, she worked as a bartender and waitress for several establishments. She loved animals and was a passionate supporter of the ASPCA.

Dorothy was the last member of her immediate family.

Surviving family includes her son, Harry Lindenmuth Jr. – Turkey Run, her daughter, Bonnie Silva – William Penn, 4 grandchildren, Amanda Lindenmuth, Jenna Lindenmuth, Joshua Lindenmuth, and Jacob Lindenmuth, 3 great-grandchildren, Zackery Monteith, Axel Ortiz Lindenmuth, and Zayden Monteith, also surviving are several nieces and nephews, and her dog- Sage.

There are no services scheduled at this time.

Jason Robert Yoder, 39, of Auburn, passed away Saturday, March 23rd, at home.

Born in Pottsville on October 3, 1984, he was a son of Ricky Yoder, fiancé of Christina Picozzi, of Cressona, and Karen (Barry) Price, wife of Shawn, of Frackville.

Jason and his fiancé, Amy L. Zimmerman were together 12 years.

He was a 2003 graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School.

A dedicated employee, Jason worked in the deli at Boyer's Food Market, Orwigsburg.

In addition to his parents and fiancé, Jason is also survived by his sister, Jacqueline Killian & husband, Andrew, Schuylkill Haven, step-sister, Heather Pritiskutch, Tremont, step-brother, Cody Price & wife, Amanda, Mahanoy City, aunts & uncles: Sharon Metroka & husband, Ed, Auburn, Darlene, wife of the late Paul Smith, Schuylkill Haven, Stacie, wife of the late Dan Singleton, Auburn, Charles Romberger, Mahanoy City, Robert Barry & wife Tracy, Valley View, & Dale Barry, Donaldson, nieces & nephews: Angelina, Austyne, Avah, Brooklyn, Jackson, Makayla, Anna, Shannon, Christina, & Robert Jr., future in-laws, Cheryl & Joseph Zimmerman, Schuylkill Haven, goddaughter, Samantha Metroka, and several cousins including Raymond Gradwell.

Jason loved his fur babies, Bandit, Skye, & Sir Scotch. He also enjoyed gardening and cooking.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, April 6th at St. Paul's United Church of Christ Summer Hill, Auburn, with Pastor Kenneth McDowell officiating. A visitation will be held from 9 AM until the time of service. Interment will be private.

Arlene M. Merritt
, 81, Gordon, passed away unexpectedly on Palm Sunday, March 24, 2024 at her residence.

Born on Preston Hill, she was a daughter of the late Clement and Margaret Quinn Kulenguskey. She had been employed as a clerk typist for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania until her retirement.

Arlene was a devout Catholic having served as both a lector and Eucharist Minister for her parish church, St. Charles Borromeo, Ashland. She was a graduate of Butler High School, a member of The Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Saint Ann’s Guild of the parish, Ashland VFW, Frackville Area Senior Citizens and the Ashland Library. Arlene was an avid reader averaging two books a week for approximately 7,242 books over her lifetime. She loved traveling and spending time with her family at the beach.

She was preceded in death by her sister Margaret Chapman and brothers; Clement J. and James F. Kulenguskey.

Arlene is survived by her three daughters; Laura Merritt; Karen Merritt-Scully and her husband Joseph Scully; Jill Fisher and her fiancé Howard Watkins; her sister-in-law Mary Ann Kulenguskey; her grandchildren: Andrew Snyder, Jocelyn Merritt, Quinn Fisher, Kieran Fisher and Robert Watkins; nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Ashland, with Rev. Giuseppe Esposito, pastor, as the celebrant. Friends may call at the church on Monday evening April 1st from 5 until 7 p.m. and on Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. until time of mass. Interment will be in St. Vincent’s Cemetery, Englewood, Frackville.
