A Mahanoy City man remains locked up in Schuylkill County Prison after a stabbing early last week in Shenandoah.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville on Monday, February 26th, 2024, around 6:15am, Troopers were dispatched to a home on West Centre Street in Shenandoah for a report of a domestic dispute.
Troopers learned that Santos Rodriguez, 22, of Mahanoy City and a 29-year-old man got into a verbal altercation that turned physical. During the altercation, Rodriguez retrieved a knife and stabbed the man in the left shoulder.
Rodriguez was taken into custody and the victim was transported to the hospital for his injuries.
Rodriguez was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarantelli and locked up in Schuylkill County Prison on $75,000 straight cash bail.
He remains locked up with a preliminary hearing scheduled before Magisterial District Judge Anthony Kilker on March 21st, 2024.
