One person was rescued from a house fire in Tamaqua on Thursday morning.
Around 9:50am, Thursday, emergency personnel were called to Reilly Avenue between Market and Elizabeth Streets for a working house fire.
Police arrived on scene and confirmed entrapment.
Within minutes of arrival, one person was rescued by firefighters and a medical helicopter was requested.
Firefighters had the fire marked under control about 15 minutes after dispatched and overhaul was underway.
The victim was transported to a landing zone at the Dutch Hill Little League Field and flown to an area hospital.
