A Pottsville man is locked up in Schuylkill County Prison for allegedly assault a woman and her 4-year-old daughter.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim. Officers observed injuries to the victim's face and bruising to her neck.
The victim told officers that around 2:30pm, she had to pick up her 4-year-old daughter from school and arrived back home approx. at 3:30pm, located at 601 Pierce Street. The victim told officers when coming back home that her boyfriend, 24-year-old Jesse Loughran, of Pottsville, was angry with her because she didn't clean the house, put his clothes away, and didn't clean up after the 4-year-old in the residence.
The victim said that her daughter, got inside the shower with her sneakers on which also made Loughran upset.
The victim told police that Loughran grabbed her 4-year-old daughter by the hair and carried her around the house by her hair, and shoved her head into wall and pushed her.
The victim said when she spoke up that Loughran started punching, slapping, choking, and kicking her multiple times. She said she got very dizzy and thought she was going to pass out from how long Loughran was impeding her breathing by choking her by having her hands around her neck. She said that Loughran randomly stopped assaulting her and locked the door to the residence and stated that she isn't allowed to go anywhere and continued to assault her.
The victim continued that Loughran took her and her 4-year-old daughter to Saint Clair to his mother's residence. She said while driving to Saint Clair that Loughran was still punching and slapping her.
Officers went to 601 Pierce Street and placed Loughran under arrest and refused to speak with police about the incident.
Both the victim and her 4-year-old daughter were transported by ambulance to Lehigh Valley Hospital East for medical treatment.
The victim continued that Loughran took her and her 4-year-old daughter to Saint Clair to his mother's residence. She said while driving to Saint Clair that Loughran was still punching and slapping her.

Due to the above investigation, Pottsville Ptlm. Cody Fanelli charged Loughran with 1 count of Strangulation, 2 Counts of aggravated assault, 2 counts of simple assault, and 2 counts of harassment.
Loughran was arraigned by on call Magisterial District Judge Rossi who set bail at 75,000 dollars straight cash. Loughran was unable to post bail and remanded to Schuylkill County Prison.
