Florence Mary Doyle

May 20, 1933 – April 2, 2024

Born Florence Mary Yanosky, May 20, 1933 in MarLin, Pennsylvania, her whole life was dedicated to being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved it dearly.

Florence spent her final week, as one could only hope for at the conclusion of life, visiting with her loving daughters, sons-in-law, and grandchildren, recounting memories, laughing, and sharing stories. She kept her quick wit and humor until the very end. Florence passed peacefully in Virginia Beach on April 2, 2024, exactly as you would often find her throughout life: surrounded by family, with her beloved Phillies on the television.

In life, she was a member of the former St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, then Holy Family Parish, Minersville, attending weekly services for as long as her health permitted.

Florence loved “bumming around” with her friends and family, whether it be to one of her favorite casinos, the mall, or Palermo’s. She loved to go, go, go. An avid traveler, Florence had visited nearly every State in the U.S., as well as Mexico and many Caribbean islands. No vacation was ever complete for the grandchildren without their Nan.

Florence is preceded in her passing by her parents, Anna Janowski (née Sumoski) and Frank Janowski; her loving husband, since 1953, Donald T. Doyle; only son, Joseph; brother Joseph Janowski and wife, Julia; brother Frank Yanosky and wife, Jean; and sister Dorothy Long and husband, Russ.

Her legacy of love and joy continues through her daughter Mary Jane Drebitko and husband, Joe, of Virginia Beach; daughter Elizabeth (Beth) Kasmari and husband, Alex, of Minersville; granddaughter Stephanie Pastula and partner, John Pierotti, of Philadelphia; granddaughter Dr. Allison Baragona (née Kasmari), husband, Rob, great-granddaughter, Aria, and great-grandson, Luca, of Coopersburg; and granddaughter and best buddy, Shaina Pastula, of Pottsville. She also had many nieces and nephews and 14 godchildren.

Private services held as arranged by Donald J. Butler Funeral Home, Minersville. Florence joins her husband and parents in Saint Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery 2, Minersville, for eternal rest.

On her family: “I have the best of the best. I always knew, if I needed something, you would always be there. I never doubted that.” – Florence M. Doyle, March 27, 2024
