Elizabeth Louella Lavenberg, 95, of Pottsville, passed away Saturday April 27, 2024, at Providence Place, Pottsville.Born in Pottsville, September 20, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Kolochock) Zelinsky.
She was a graduate of Pottsville Area High School where she was Valedictorian.
She was a Secretary Treasurer for the Pennsylvania Joint Board Amalgamated Clothing and Textile Workers, Pottsville and was a member of ILGWU.
She was a member of St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, St. Clair, where she taught Catechism.
Surviving are her husband of 68 years Raymond J. Lavenberg; a Son Raymond J. Lavenberg and his wife Joanne of Collegeville, PA; 2 Grandchildren Laura Fitzgerald and her husband Brian of Downingtown, PA; Brian Lavenberg and his wife Kelly of Pennsburg, PA; 2 sisters Anna Holley of Pottsville and Marie Curry of Zephyrhills, FL; Nieces and Nephews.
Office of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday May 1, 2024 from Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home 110 N. Second St. Saint Clair, PA 17970 with Rev. Greg Noga officiating. Friends may call from 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church Memorial Fund, 107 S. Fourth St., Minersville, PA 17954. Burial will be in St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, St. Clair.

Robert Hasker Sr., 62, Shenandoah died unexpectedly on Monday, April 29th at his residence.
Born in Hazleton, he was a son of Sylvester Hasker and the late Joann Hasker.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a sister, Melissa Hasker and his step-mother, Diane Hasker.
Robert was a life long contractor.
Robert is survived by his father Sylvester; his daughter, Jennifer Hasker Wilson, Philadelphia; two sons; his brother, John Hasker, Shenandoah; his step-brother, Danny Gedney; his sister, Christine Rainis, Girardville; several grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Glenn A. "Mook" Moyer, 93, of Harbor Lights Lane, Pine Grove, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024 at home.
Born on April 27, 1931 in Tremont, he was a son of the late Clarence and Catherine Lengle Moyer.
He was a 1949 graduate of Pine Grove High School.
Glenn was a U.S. Navy Veteran during the Korean Conflict.
He was part owner of Lake Homes Inc. in Pine Grove along with his brothers, Robert and William. He also worked at Cressona Aluminum and was a Supervisor at Lebanon Valley Homes.
Glenn was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove. He was also a member of the Pine Grove Masonic Lodge #409 F. & A.M., Pine Grove Lions Club, Pine Grove VFW Post 3432, Pine Grove American Legion Post 374, and the Tulpehocken Rifle and Pistol Club.
Preceding him in death were his wife Margaret "Mary Ellen" Daubert Moyer; a son, Garry "Mike" Moyer; three brothers, Robert, Marlin, and Clarence Moyer; two sisters, Lorraine Hain and Florence B. Yerges.
Surviving are a son, Dale "Russ" and wife Susan Moyer of Pine Grove; four daughters, Gail and husband Dennis Adams, Donna and husband Joe Witherow, both of Pine Grove, Susie and husband Joe Hall of Benton, Brenda and husband Joe Keefer of Denver; a daughter-in-law Patsy Moyer of Pine Grove; 9 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; a brother, William Moyer of Pine Grove; nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog Boots.
All Services will be held at the convenience of the family with Pastor Brian Beissel officiating. Interment will be in the Schuylkill Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Pine Grove.

Bernice M. Hinkle, 91, lifelong resident of Frackville passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 30th.
Born in Frackville, she was a daughter of the late John and Emma Kore Hinkle. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family which included 15 siblings. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bruce H. Hinkle; her son, Jonathan Hinkle; her daughter, Susan Chuma; her grandson, Ian Hinkle; her son-in-law, John Chuma and her many siblings.
She was a graduate of the former Frackville High School. She worked in the cafeteria of the Schuylkill Vo-Tech North, Frackville until her retirement.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Frackville; the Frackville Elks Ladies Auxiliary; the Goodwill Hose Co. and the Frackville Senior Citizens. She enjoyed the time spent with her many friends and family at her home with her morning coffee club.
Bernice is survived by her loving family which includes her son Bruce Hinkle and his wife Kim, Weatherly; her daughter, Beth Flannery and her husband Ray, Fountain Springs; her grandchildren: John Chuma, Angela Rein, Kris Chuma, Raymond Flannery, Ryan Flannery, Nathan Hinkle, Karlee Ribble, Annah Davis, Amalia Hinkle and Robert Flannery; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 4th from Zion Lutheran Church (Annunciation BVM Church 33 S Broad Mountain Ave, Frackville) with Pastor Carl Shankweiler officiating. There will be a visitation for family and friends at the church on Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be held in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Frackville.

Martha was born in Orwigsburg, on December 31, 1929, a daughter of the late Mabel V. (Koch) and John S. Schrader.
She was the widow of George (Gum) B. Shoener with whom she shared 64 years of marriage.
During her life, Martha was a commtted wife and devoted mother. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Orwigsburg. She enjoyed singing in area church choirs. She attended Nursing School in Reading and worked as a Machine Operator at Sylray & Rohrers in Orwigsburg.
Martha is survived by her two daughters, Carole Chismar, wife of Paul and Patricia (Pat) Shoener.
She is also survived by her grandchildren Elizabeth Chismar Kelly, wife of Adam; Brian Chismar and two Great Grandsons Andrew Kelly and Matthew Kelly.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 at Salem United Methodist Church in Orwigsburg, PA on Tuesday, May 7, 2024. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Zion's Red Church Cemetery Orwigsburg, PA.
