A crash occurred Friday while Hazleton Police were transporting an injured child to the hospital.
According to Hazleton Police, on Friday, May 24th, 2024, around 1:00pm, Police Officers were flagged down by a female who reported a child had been struck by a vehicle and was still laying in the roadway, not moving.
Due to the extent of the child's injuries, and at the request of the child's family, the Hazleton Police Officers began transporting the child with family members to the hospital.
While enroute to the hospital, a motor vehicle accident occurred involving a Hazleton Police Cruiser and an SUV.
No other details were available on additional injuries or the condition of the child.
