Nearly 2,000 Homes Without Power in Schuylkill County

 

As of 8:30am, Thursday, nearly 2,000 homes are without power. in Schuylkill County.

Storms and rain pushed through Schuylkill County early Thursday and with that brought down some trees and power lines.

According to PPL, 1,825 homes are without power across Schuylkill County.

The largest outages are being reported in the areas of Pine Grove Township (662 outages) and Port Carbon (548 outages).

Other Outages include:

  • Wayne Township - 148 outages
  • Washington Township - 115 outages
  • East Brunswick Township - 91 outages
  • Union Township - 48 outages
  • Mount Carbon - 57 outages
  • Hegins Township - 51 outages
  • South Manheim Township - 36 outages
  • North Union Township - 32 outages
  • North Manheim Township - 13 outages
  • Tremont Township - 5 outages
  • Butler Township - 2 outages
  • Rush Township - 2 outages
  • Ryan Township - 2 outages
Due to these downed trees and power lines, numerous roadways are closed.  Use caution if traveling through these areas.
