North Schuylkill High School is set to host its very first Jazz Festival on Friday, May 17, 2024, starting at 6 PM.
Get ready to tap your feet and groove to the rhythm as ten different performing groups from eight area high schools take the stage. But that's not all – the M&J Big Band from Pottsville will also be there.
What makes this event even more special is the lineup of adjudicators. Two of Philadelphia's top jazz musicians, Steve Fidyk on drums and Matt Gallagher on trumpet, will be lending their expertise to evaluate the performances.
Joining them is the talented jazz saxophonist, Nick Nutter, hailing from Pittsburgh. Not only will Nick be judging, but he'll also be closing the night with a performance alongside the M&J Big Band.
