A Certificate of Congratulations was presented to Shenandoah Valley’s Director of Bands Mr. John Shoener for being named the recipient of the Music Education Award for the fifth consecutive year.
The Music Education Award is presented to communities who have displayed an outstanding commitment to music education. Presenting the Certificates to each member of the band were Pennsylvania House Representatives Tim Twardzik and Dane Watro. Besides John Shoener the other Band instructors are Robert Nowak percussion and Britney Bidding Elementary Band.

On May 14th at 7:00 PM the 5th & 6th grade Chorus & Elementary Band will perform. On May 16th at 6:00 PM there will be an Art Show followed by the HS Concert Band & Percussion Ensemble. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.
