Pennsylvania Game Commission
The Pennsylvania Game Commission announced some changes for the 2023-2024 antlerless license sales. As a reminder, the County Treasurer’s office is no longer accepting the pink envelopes. Any pink envelopes sent will be returned. You will be able to purchase your hunting and doe licenses at the Schuylkill County Treasurer’s Office, PGC online and/or any authorized in store license issuing agent.
The first round of antlerless deer license sales goes from June 24, 2024 to July 22, 2024. There will be 3 phases- limited, guaranteed WMU, and non-resident. The first round for PA residents begins Monday June 24, 2024. On this day, only WMUs 1B, 3A and 2G will be available for purchase. Thursday June 27, 2024, all other WMUs are guaranteed for PA residents. WMUs 1B, 2G and 3A will also be available if licenses remain. They will be sold on a first come, first served basis. Monday July 8, 2024 will be the first round for non-residents. The second round will begin Monday July 22, 2024, third round Monday August 12, 2024 and fourth round Monday August 26, 2024, residents and non-residents. During each round, only 1 license may be purchased with the exception of the final/fourth round, where you can purchase up to 4 additional licenses, if available. Please note that all license sales will begin at 8:00 a.m. for each round.

Pre-Qualified Landowner licenses will be available for purchase in the Schuylkill County Treasurer’s Office Tuesday June 17, 2024 beginning at 8:00 a.m. for both PA residents and non-residents. The cost of this license will be $6.97 for Pennsylvania residents and $26.97 for non-residents. In order to qualify for the Landowner license, you must own 50 or more contiguous acres of land in Schuylkill County. Disabled Veterans and active Military Armed Forces or within 60 days of honorable discharge from federal active duty, may purchase their 2023-24 antlerless license at any PGC office as well as the Schuylkill County Treasurers Office. The cost for this license will be $6.97. Reserves or National Guard do not qualify.

Dog Licensing
Effective February 1, 2024, dog licensing prices have changed. Yearly regular male/female dog licenses cost is $8.70 while senior/disabled male/female dog licenses cost is $6.70. Lifetime regular male/female dog license cost is $52.70 while senior/disabled male/female dog license cost is $36.70. There is no longer a discount for spay or neuter. In order to qualify for the senior discount, dog owner must be 65 years or older. To qualify for the disabled discount, dog owner must supply a copy of decision letter stating disability. As a reminder, all dogs aged 2 months and older must be licensed. The dog warden is actively canvassing the area. Any unlicensed dogs, owner will be liable for a $500.00 fine plus court costs
