Jesse Gomez, president of ECN, a staffing agency, has announced the establishment of a $50,000 scholarship fund for students at his alma mater, Shenandoah Valley High School.
ECN, known for its staffing solutions across various industries including agriculture, food services, manufacturing, information technology, and healthcare, has thrived under Gomez's leadership.
The scholarship, aimed at supporting the educational aspirations of five students annually, will be distributed in increments of $2,500 each. Gomez, a 2007 graduate of Shenandoah Valley, attributes his professional success to the foundational support he received during his high school years.
"When I first arrived at Shenandoah Valley in 10th grade, I couldn't read, speak, or write in English. The support and dedication of my teachers were instrumental in my journey to becoming a corporate executive," said Gomez. This scholarship is his way of giving back to the community that played a crucial role in his personal and professional development.
The first recipients of the scholarship were recently announced.
