Frackville Attorney Appointed to Supreme Court of Pennsylvania’s Disciplinary Board


Attorney Mary Kathleen O’Connor, managing member of O’Connor Law, has been appointed to serve as a Hearing Committee Member on the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. 

Her appointment will take effect on July 1, 2024, and will run through June 30, 2027, after which she will be eligible for a second three-year term.

In her new role, O’Connor will join a group of attorneys dedicated to maintaining the integrity of the legal profession and protecting the public. She will serve in District II, furthering the mission of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court Disciplinary Board. Her duties will include conducting hearings and acting as a formal reviewing body to determine whether disciplinary cases should proceed.

O’Connor’s appointment continues a family tradition of service to the Disciplinary Board, following in the footsteps of her father, Michael J. O’Connor, founder of O’Connor Law, who served as a Hearing Committee Member from July 1, 2011, to June 30, 2017.

Since beginning her legal career in 2016, Mary Kathleen O’Connor has been admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and the District of Columbia. She specializes in workers’ compensation and social security disability law.  O’Connor is a board member of the Schuylkill County Bar Association and a member of the Northumberland County Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives.”

O’Connor expressed her enthusiasm for her new role, stating, "I am looking forward to putting my expertise to use for the Disciplinary Board and contributing to the maintenance of ethical standards within our profession."
