Frackville Teener League to Honor Chuma

On Friday, June 28th, the Frackville Teener League will be honoring long time Frackville Coach John Chuma and his 50 years of coaching service.

Mr. Chuma passed away earlier this year and 2023 was his final year of coaching. Frackville “RED” will be hosting Mrs. T’s from Shenandoah for the John Chuma Classic, Frackville’s final home game of the regular season. Players and coaches from both teams will be wearing shirts honoring Coach Chuma prior to and during the game. Coach Chuma took great pride in coaching the Red team for years in Frackville and we invite all spectators to join us in honoring him by wearing Red to the game.

There will be a brief ceremony prior to the game at John Chuma Field, Memorial Park in Frackville. Ted Smith, Schuylkill County Teener League President will unveil the Championship Trophy which has been named in honor of John.

To witness the legacy Coach Chuma created, everyone is welcome to attend the ceremony and game which will begin at 5:30 PM.
