On Monday, July 22nd, 2024, Joe Snedeker, a meteorologist for WNEP, is set to embark on his 27th annual fundraising trek to support St. Joseph's Center. The journey will commence in Lock Haven, promising another adventure for a great cause.
The fundraising expedition, known as "Go Joe," has become an eagerly anticipated event in the region, drawing immense support from the community. Over the years, Joe has successfully raised substantial sums of money for St. Joseph's Center, an organization dedicated to providing crucial services and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The first leg of Joe's journey will see him cycling through Central Pennsylvania as he makes his way towards Schuylkill County. However, supporters will have to wait until Wednesday, July 24th, to catch a glimpse of Joe in the Skook.
Wednesday's route, July 24th, 2024, he will begin his day in western Schuylkill County in Sacramento where his morning live broadcast will take place. Throughout Wednesday morning he will travel through the communities of Hegins Township, Newtown, Branchdale, Llewellyn, Minersville, Pottsville, with a noon live broadcast scheduled to take place at the Cressona Picnic Grove.
As the day progresses, Joe will continue his ride in the afternoon starting at Frackville Memorial Park at 2:00pm, then travel through New Boston, Hometown, Tamaqua, and Coaldale before leaving Schuylkill County into Lansford, and finishing his day in Nesquehoning.
Communities like Frackville are already planning events to celebrate his arrival.
