Over 9,500 Schuylkill County Homes Without Power Wednesday Evening

Over 9,500 Schuylkill homes are without power on Wednesday evening after severe storms pushed through.

As of 7:00pm, PPL is reporting that 9,681 home are in the dark.

The largest outages are reported to be in the Ashland/Butler Township area, Porter Township, Pottsville, West Penn Township, and Rush Township.

The outages are as follows:

  • Porter Twp - 1,280
  • Pottsville - 1,275
  • Rush Twp - 2,692
  • West Penn Twp - 562
  • East Norwegian Twp - 359
  • North Manheim Twp - 207
  • West Brunswick Twp - 195
  • South Manheim Twp - 191
  • East Brunswick Twp - 182
  • Mcadoo Boro - 171
  • Washington Twp - 145
  • Ashland Boro - 152
  • East Union Twp - 132
  • Schuylkill Twp - 253
  • Union Twp - 99
  • Cass Twp - 96
  • Wayne Twp - 78
  • Walker Twp - 55
  • Pine Grove Twp - 45
  • Reilly Twp - 36

PPL is reporting that power is expected to be restored by 11:00pm, Thursday.

Parts of St. Clair are also without power, they are not part of the PPL grid.
