Pennsylvania State Police Pursue Reckless Motorcyclist After Pursuit on Route 61 near Frackville


The Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville are looking of help identifying a motorcycle and its driver after a pursuit last week.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police, on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at approximately 3:10 PM, a high-speed chase took place on Route 61 Northbound when a sport-style motorcycle fled from Pennsylvania State Police. The incident began during an attempted traffic stop in Ryan Township near the former Schuylkill Mall.

The motorcycle, described as possibly a Honda CBR or Ninja, entered Frackville Borough, evading police at a dangerously high speed. The rider maneuvered through the town, turning right on East Laurel Street from South Lehigh Avenue, and then took another right on South Mahanoy Street, behind Ken’s Tires.

The operator of the motorcycle is described as a male wearing a black shirt and khaki shorts. The Pennsylvania State Police are actively seeking information regarding the identity and whereabouts of this individual.
