According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, on Monday, June 17th, 2024, around 3:00pm, State Police were dispatched to a possible drowning on Market Street in Kline Township.
The incident involved a 56-year-old male.
McAdoo Fire and EMS arrived and began life saving measures, and the victim would later be transported to Lehigh Valley Hazleton, then flown to Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest.
On Tuesday, June 25th, 2024, Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A Buglio announced that Michael Scarlato, of McAdoo was pronounced dead on Monday, June 24th, 2024.
Buglio stated that Scarlato's manner of death was ruled accidental as a result of "complications of cervical spine fractures due to a home swimming incident".
