He was born February 20, 1947, in Pottsville a son of the late Jospeh M. and Stella Strasico Mirabella
He was a 1965 graduate of Nativity BVM High School.
He was a Navy veteran having served during the Vietnam War.
Prior to retiring he worked for Eisenhower Nissan-Sabb and Bohorad's Men's Clothing Store, Pottsville.
Joe was a member of the former St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church, Port Carbon; the former Pottsville Club where he served as President of the board; the former Amor Franterno Club, East Ward Social Club, Schuylkill Haven; Walter Griffith AMVETS Post #180, Pottsville; and was the drummer for the band Wayne and the Impressions.
Joe lived a full life well before and after his diagnosis with Parkinson's, he enjoyed spending time with his wife, family and friends.
Surviving are his wife, with whom he celebrated 48 years of marriage with on May 15th, Sandra McNeely Mirabella; a sister, Denise M. Shade and her husband Robert, Kutztown; a brother Edward J. Mirabella and his wife Shirley, TX; nieces, nephews, 1 uncle, cousins, and friends.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday June 8th at 11AM from the James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville, with Msgr. William F. Glosser officiating.
Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 5-7PM Friday and Saturday from 10AM until the time of services. Interment with military honors will be in Charles Baber Cemetery, Pottsville.
The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions in memory of Joe be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, Chruch St. Station P.O Box 780 New York, NY 10008.

Paul Hepler, 72, of Ashland (Taylorsville) passed away Thursday morning May 30, 2024 in Butler Township.
Born in Ashland on June 9, 1951, he was the son of Elizabeth and Franklin Paul Hepler.
Paul is the husband of Karen (Troutman) Franklin.
Paul was of the Lutheran faith.
He graduated from North Schuylkill High School in 1969. Paul last worked as a machine operator for Gould’s Pumps until his retirement.
Paul enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting and fishing.
In addition to his wife Karen, Paul is survived by; a son Paul Hepler (Kim Souchak), Ashland; daughter Heather Fetterolf (Dave), Germanville; grandson Gavin Fetterolf, Germanville; sister Edith Wehry (Carl), Ashland; nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held privately at St. John’s (Kimmels) Church in Barry Township.
