Born in Ashland, she was a daughter of the late George and Helen Sweeney Canavan. Ida had been employed as an administrative assistant for the US Air Force at Dover AFB, DE.
She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish, Ashland.
Ida Mae lived to love her family. From her children, grandchildren, brothers, nieces, nephews and friends her love and kindness was limitless. She enjoyed a good dance to Neil Diamond and family gatherings in the backyard. She always was there to help anyone in need. Her faith guided her through life and helped her through many difficult times. Mom/Nanny/Aunt Idie will be greatly missed as no one could ever replicate the beautiful soul she was.
She was preceded in death by two sons: Raymond and Stephen Reinoehl; two brothers James Canavan and Robert Canavan and her companion Jim Pitts.
Ida is survived by her two sons: Michael Reinoehl, Hampton, VA and Timothy Reinoehl and his wife Angela, Ringtown; her two daughters; Cindy Donmoyer, Girardville and Mary wife of Greg Hertz, Pottsville; her brother: George ( Louise ) Canavan, Girardville; sister-in-law, Liz Canavan, FL; daughter-in-law, Kathleen Reinoehl; 14 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Ida on Friday at 11 a.m. at Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Ashland. Interment will be in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery, Fountain Springs.
Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Girardville, is in charge of arrangements.

Lawrence 'Larry' Kelly, 85, a resident of Pottsville, passed away unexpectedly on June 11, 2024 at his residence.
Larry was born in Pottsville on May 3, 1939, the only son of the late Theodore and Mary (Montag) Kelly. He was a 1957 graduate of the Pottsville Area High School and was a member of St. John the Baptist Church in Pottsville. He worked several jobs, having been last employed in the modular housing industry in Pine Grove.
Larry was an avid sports fan, both the New York Yankees baseball team and his beloved Notre Dame football team. He was a member of the Schuylkill County Notre Dame Club, where he served as a former vice president. A life member of the American Hose Company #2 in Pottsville, Larry was also a social member at both the Amvets Post 180 and the Pottsville Catholic War Veterans.
The last member of his immediate family, Larry is survived by several cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at St. John the Baptist Church on Mahantango Street in Pottsville. Relatives and friends are asked to arrive at the church beginning at 10:45 am. Larry will be laid to rest along side his parents at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, 20th and Mahantango Streets in Pottsville, immediately following the mass.
