Lloyd Edward Gibson, 74 of Muir, passed away Friday, June 21,2024 at home with his loved ones by his side. He was the husband of Carol Gibson whom he spent 54 loving years with. He took great pride in knowing they were never apart from each other.
Lloyd was born on May 28, 1950 in Lykens to the late Lloyd and Jane Gibson. He worked as a mechanic at his own shop for many years and later worked for Tyco Connectivity for 27 years before retiring in 2015.
Lloyd loved spending time with his wife and family but also enjoyed his many hobbies. He built and flew Ultralite airplanes in his younger years and later spent many hours restoring his 1951 Chevy truck. He had great enjoyment in taking his truck to car shows and winning several awards over the years.
He is survived by his wife Carol Gibson of Muir, two brothers Jim and Jess Gibson and sister Connie Gibson all of Tower City. His son Joseph Gibson and daughter-in-law Anna Leymeister of Tower City, as well as his other son Jeffrey Gibson of Chesapeake, Virginia. He also has his grandchildren, Kailey Fritzinger and husband Brad Fritzinger of Fleetwood and Bryce Gibson of Tower City and one great-granddaughter, Mia Angela Fritzinger whom he doted on as much as possible. Lastly, are all his grand-dogs Bentley, Jade, Zoey, Mikey, and Holly.
He is preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Jane Gibson and his brother Frank Gibson all from Orwin. His in-laws, Jess and Doris Frankenstein of Joliet, his sister-in-law Jane Blough of Pine Grove, and daughter-in-law Angela Perkins Gibson of Tower City.
As per Lloyd’s request, services will be private so there will not be a funeral or memorial held.
In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Russel A. Frantz Scholarship Fund (216 S. Centre St Pottsville, PA 17901), which held yearly car shows that Lloyd loved attending and being a part of.

She attended Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy MA, where she met the love of her life, the late Joseph Arthur Smallwood, who she married on September 21, 1974 and who preceded her in death in 2013. After settling in Royersford, PA she raised a family including her two children Jeremy Andrew, and Lani Beth Smallwood, both of whom survive.
Jacki was a founder of the Kids Kare Korner daycare center in Royersford PA, where she worked for 26 years until her retirement. She loved crafts and devoted herself to reading and learning of all kinds.
She was deeply devoted to her Christian faith, and served as a lay minister in recent years to her fellow residents at Schuylkill Center in Pottsville, and she was frequently referred to as “Pastor Jacki”, and served as the Resident Council President. She was a member of Lavelle Church of the Nazarene in Lavelle, PA.
Survivors, in addition to her mother Janet, and her children Jeremy and his wife Chrystal, and Lani include her brother Christopher Binan and his wife Ramona of Parishville NY, her sister Rebecca McMahon and her husband Randy of Royersford, PA, her granddaughters Anna and Kaitlyn Smallwood of Lavelle, PA, and several nephews. Preceding her in death in addition to her husband Joseph Arthur includes her father Lawrence Binan.
A funeral service will be held at Lavelle Church of the Nazarene on Wednesday June 26, with a visitation from 4-6PM, led by Rev. Charles Melton.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Schuylkill Center for their care during her extended stay.

Pauline M. Lorah, 89, of New Ringgold, passed away Friday, June 21, 2024, in Mahoning Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Paul E. Lorah for 58 years until his death on September 30, 2015.
Prior to retiring, she worked as a sewing machine operator for 34 years at the former Rohrer Knitting Mill and Sylray Garment Factory, Orwigsburg. Born in Bath, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Anna (Heckman) Roth. She was a member of Zion’s Stone Church of West Penn Township. Pauline enjoyed gardening and embroidering.
She was preceded in death by a brother, James Roth, and sister, Ruth Michael.
She is survived by a son, Timothy, and his wife Patricia, of New Ringgold; a daughter, Tammy, wife of Mark Yura of Whitehall; sister, Florence Edelman, of Northampton; a granddaughter April Lorah, of St. Hedwig, TX; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11am on Wednesday, June 26, at Zion’s Stone Church, 45 Cemetery Road, New Ringgold, with Rev. Russell Campbell officiating. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 9-11am. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
