Michael Francis Bann
, 59, Fountain Springs, passed away unexpectedly, Friday June21st, at St. Luke's University Hospital in Bethlehem.

Michael was born March 23, 1965, the son of the late Margaret (Bailey) and Robert Bann, Sr.

Michael graduated from North Schuylkill High School, Class of 1983.

Michael was a talented and amazing photographer, producer, and musician. He worked as a professional photographer whose images have been published in numerous media outlets including The Washington Post, Playboy, Military Times, Street Chopper, and Spin. He was the creator and publisher of Retro Lovely Magazine, a publication that has over 2 million fans.

Michael was a vibrant, charismatic, fun-loving personality with a great sense of humor who made many incredible friends throughout his life.

He is survived by his brother, Samuel Bann, husband of Diane Bann of Mahanoy City and their two daughters Carey Ritsko (married to Frank) and Tracy Agosti ( married to James). He will also be missed by his great nieces Abbigale, Ava, Samantha and his great nephews Tavio and Branden.

Michael was preceded in death by both his parents, his brother Robert Bann Jr., and nephew Shawn Bann.

Eleanor Garulle
, 68, of Barnesville, PA, passed away Monday, June 17th, at her residence.

Eleanor was born in Jersey City, NJ on March 9, 1956, a daughter of the late Ruth (Engroff) and John Sharpe.

She was wife of the late Theodore Garulle.

Eleanor is survived by a daughter, Tammy, wife of Joseph Kephart, of Schuylkill Haven; a son, Nicholas, and by her sister, Mary, wife of Joseph Barinas, of Blairstown NJ.

She is also survived by 3 grandchildren Haley, Caitlyn, and Jordyn, nieces and nephews. She was looking forward to the birth of her first great granddaughter.

She is preceded in death by sons Theodore, Thomas, and Mark, and daughters Eleanor, and Christie, a brother John, and sisters Margaret Sharpe, Jean Ippolito, and Ruth Napier.

Frances Dee Heinbach
, 83, of Pine Grove, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024 in Providence Place, Pine Grove.

Born on December 1, 1940 in Pine Grove, she was a daughter and step daughter of the late Paul Bretzius and Beatrice J. Kembel Gahres and husband Richard D. Gahres, Sr.

Frances was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove and a proud alumnus of Pine Grove High School Class of 1958.

Preceding her in death were a brother, Richard D. Gahres, Jr.; and two sisters, Linda Barr and Judith Neidlinger.

Surviving are her husband of 62 years, John Heinbach; two daughters, Dawn Heinbach and partner JoAnn Jones of Kutztown, Sharon Rickert and husband Barry of Valley View; three grandchildren, Jill Miller (Tim), Dustin Rickert, James Hancock (Tori); five great grandchildren, Kole, Owen, Dustin Jr., Gracyn and Cooper; nephews and nieces.

Frances was freely giving of her time and energy. During her 40-year tenure as tax collector, Frances met and befriended many. People found her easy to talk to and their visits to Frances' home office often turned into extended conversations. She was civic-minded and volunteered at the polls most every election.

All Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

June M. White, 77, of Cressona passed away on Tuesday while a resident of Orwigsburg Manor.

Born, June 27, 1946, in Schuylkill Haven. She was the daughter of the late Wilson and Mildred Kramer.

June was a graduate of Blue Mountain Area High School in 1964. She was a member of Schuylkill Christian Church.

June was employed by Reider Shoe Company for many years and would meet with her former fellow employees often. She worked at the Goodwill Bookstore in Pottsville. She also worked as church secretary and treasurer while she attended Lavelle Church of the Nazarene.

June had several hobbies including collecting Santas for display during the holidays along with listening to the Gaithers’ various musical groups. She was at one time a member of Central Pennsylvania Gospel Band.

June was married to Robert J. White for 51 years, 9 months, and 9 days.

In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by siblings Eileen and Dave.

In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by her sons Jason. husband to Michele of Long Island and Jeremy, husband to Donna of Orwigsburg. She is also survived by grandchildren, Autunm White, Alexa Villegas, wife of Daniel. She is also survived by her great grandchild, Lillian Boykin and step-grandchild J.D. Lohman husband to Marissa and sister Linda Deitz.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday at Grabowski Funeral Home, Schuylkill Haven. A visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services. Private interment will be held at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Red Creek Wildlife Center, 300 Moonhill Drive, Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972.

Linda J. Andrews
, 83, of Lavelle, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at her home.

Born in Orange, NJ on May 27, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Paul Francis Bonham and Elsie Mae Parker.

Linda grew up in Irvington, NJ and graduated from Irvington High School in 1959. She then attended Jersey City State College and in 1963 earned her B.A. in Special Education. Her career spanned 25 years at the Old Bridge Township Board of Education as a special education teacher for those with a variety of disabilities. She retired in 1988.

Linda married Theodore Andrews on August 16, 1980. They lived in South River, New Jersey for several years and eventually moved to Moon Lake (Beury’s Grove) in 1989 and then to Lavelle in 2005. Theodore Andrews, her husband of 31 years, passed away in 2011.

Linda loved to travel and spend time with her family, as she was affectionately known as “Aunt Linda”.

Besides her husband and parents, she was also preceded by her brother, Gordon Bonham.

The surviving family includes her step-son Mark Andrews and wife Gail of Whitehouse Station, NJ, her step-daughter Joan Andrews of Honeybrook, PA, 4 grandchildren- Randy Andrews and wife Melissa, Vicki Ahmed and husband Omar, Erin Donnelly and husband Brian, and Judy Troegner, along with 8 great-grandchildren, all who lovingly called her Nana. Other surviving family includes her niece and caregiver- Rene (Reese) Evans, nephew Alan Gilfert, along with cousins.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, June 28th from 9:00 to 11:00am at the Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc, 40 N. Jardin St, Shenandoah, PA. Burial will follow at 2:00pm in St. Mary of Ostrabrama Cemetery in East Brunswick, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to St Jude Children’s Hospital.

Michael J. “Skirky” Scarlato
, 55, of Kelayres, passed away Monday evening at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.

Born in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Michael E. and Marianne (Ricchiuti) Scarlato.

Michael was of the Roman Catholic faith and a Hazleton High School graduate.

He was employed at ITG Cigars, Inc. of McAdoo.

He was a member of the McAdoo Fire Co., Tresckow Hosey and the McAdoo V.F.W.

Michael was an avid fisherman, enjoyed going on quad rides, but mostly he loved spending time with his friends. He will be greatly missed by all.

Surviving are his aunt, Marie Lettiere, of Kelayres; cousin, and a sister-at-heart, Sharon Oswald and her husband Alan of Kelayres; the following cousins, Christopher and Megan Wallace of Florida and James and Miriam Wallace and children of Arkansas, have also been especially close to him and in his heart; surviving are several other cousins.

His memorial service will be held Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 11 a.m. in The Cappella at Caprioti’s Catering, McAdoo. Pastor Lance Moyer will conduct the service.

The Damiano Funeral Home Inc., McAdoo, is assisting the family.

As a final act of Michael’s kindness and caring nature, he gave the gift of life to others through organ donation.
