Lane C. "Nitz" Bailey
, 65, of Tower City, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at his home.

Born in Pottsville, February 10, 1959, a son of the late Clair and Lorraine Hand Bailey. Nitz was a 1977 graduate of Williams Valley High School.

Nitz had a very strong work ethic, starting at a young age working at Tallman Farms. He then worked for General Mills for many years. Following his time at General Mills, he worked for TYCO, retiring after 20 years of employment.

He was a very active member of the Orwin Fire Company where he could often be found volunteering wherever needed. You could often find him behind the bar or in the kitchen. He was also a member of the 717 Car Club.

Every Christmas he looked forward to dressing up as Santa Clause for the kids. Most of all, he will be remembered for his larger than life personality. He was the kind of man who would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. If you were lucky enough to call Nitz your friend, you were blessed.
