Joseph J. Bottor, III
, 45, a resident of Pottsville, passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, June 5, 2024.

Joe was born in Pottsville on July 31, 1978, a son of Jo Bottor, Jr, of Pottsville and Joan (Snyder) Bottor of Quakertown. He was a graduate of the Pottsville Area High School, and was currently employed as a crane operator at Hydro in Cressona.

An avid gardener, Joe was also a rock and crystal collecting enthusiast. He also enjoyed hunting and working and restoring cars with his father. Joe had a kind heart, which was evident by the fourteen stray cats he adopted and cared for.

In addition to his parents, Joe is survived by his wife of 7 years, Della E. (Bozeman) Bottor; a brother, Sean Bottor, and five sisters - Lottie Chapman, Jolene Bottor-Ortiona, Amanda Dunmyre, Spring Alvarez and Savannah Miske. He is also survived by his step-mother, Sherry Bottor, along with 3 nieces and 8 nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday June 12th, 2024 from 6-8 PM at the Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, 515 West Market Street, Pottsville. Joe will be laid to rest during private family services.

Ray F. "Lucky Ray" Krammes, Jr.
, 83, of Orwigsburg, passed away Wednesday, June 5th, at home.

Born in Pottsville on July 30, 1940, he was a son of the late Ray F. Krammes, Sr. & Verna (Fritz) Krammes.

His late wife, Wanda Ann (Topewith) Krammes, passed away in 1997.

He shared the last 25 years of his life with his companion, Joan A. Peleschak. The couple has enjoyed spending winters in Fort Myers, FL since 2003.

Ray attended Schuylkill Haven High School and had served in the U.S. Navy for four years. He retired from the U.S. Army Reserve after 23 years of service.

He was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven, and St. Columbkille Catholic Church, Fort Myers, FL.

Ray served on the Schuylkill Haven Police Force in the early 1970's. He later worked in the collision repair industry and retired in 2002 from Bob Weaver Collision Department.

He was a member of the East Ward Social Club, South Schuylkill Rotary Club, AMVETS of Summit Station, Fraternal Order of Police, Auto Body Association, and Schuylkill Haven & Ft. Myers American Legions.

Ray enjoyed playing cards, going to the casino, and golfing with the senior league at Hidden Valley Golf Course, Pine Grove.

In addition to his longtime companion, Ray is also survived by daughter, Karen M., wife of Rick Shanoskie, of Lake Wynonah, son, Andy R., husband of Kathy Krammes, of Schuylkill Haven; grandchildren: Jess Williams, wife of Tim and their daughters: Emilia, Olivia, and Sophia, all of Bel Air, MD; Stacie O'Sullivan, wife of Dan and their children: Kieran & Bridie, all of Severna Park, MD; Andrew Peleschak and daughter Sophia, both of Frackville; Stacey Yeich, wife of Cody and their sons: Carter, Bryson, and Henry, all of Adamsdale; & Eric Naus of Schuylkill Haven. He is also survived by siblings: Cheryl Warner & husband, Jed, Pine Grove, & Mark Krammes & his companion, Belinda Rank, Schuylkill Haven, special friend "son #2", Mike Bubeck, Schuylkill Haven, and several nieces & nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, Ray is preceded in death by an infant granddaughter, Caley O'Sullivan.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Thursday, June 13th at 10:30 AM at Geschwindt Stabingas Ebling Funeral Home, Inc., Schuylkill Haven with Rev. Msgr. Edward Zemanik officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:30 until the time of service.

Interment with military honors will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

Harry “Buddy” Thompson
, 53, of Pottsville, died Monday May 27, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Health Network – Schuylkill – East Norwegian St Pottsville PA.

He was Born in Forrest Hills, NY on May 21, 1971.

He graduated from Andrew Jackson High School, Queens NY in 1989. Buddy moved to Pottsville in 2008 and worked a several area jobs: Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Amazon in Hazleton, Hydro in Cressona, and PennDOT in Schuylkill Haven.

Among his Survivors are his mother, Beatrice Thomas Thompson of NY, father Harry Thompson of NJ, 2 sisters Maiya Thompson of NJ and Lori Thompson of NY. Also, his daughter JoyAnne Naughton of Decatur, GA and his son, Elijah Thompson of Brooklyn, NY and longtime girlfriend, Jennifer Hosler of Minersville. A Memorial Service is being held on June 15th at 3pm at First United Church Of Christ 10 Route 61 South Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972
