Connerton Fire Ruled as "Undetermined", American Red Cross Assisting Homeowner

Fire officials and investigators have provided an update to Wednesday's house fire in Butler Township.

Just after 1:30pm, Wednesday, emergency personnel were called to 9 Connerton Road for a house fire.  

Girardville Fire Chief Frank Zangari was first on scene and confirmed a fully involved house fire with all occupants out of the home.

The fire was upgraded to a 2nd alarm calling in additional manpower as well tankers due to the location.

Approximately 50 minutes after the original dispatch, the entire home which was engulfed in flames collapsed.

The State Police Fire Marshal was on scene by 3:30pm.

On Thursday, Girardville Fire Chief Frank Zangari, who was in charge of the scene, reports that Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshall Joseph Hall assisted with the investigation and ruled the fire cause of the fire to be "undetermined" due to the condition of the house.  Based on information provided by the homeowner, it is believed that the fire was electrical in nature.

A woman who lived in the home is being assisted by the American Red Cross.  She was at home when the fire started and was not injured.
