A Mahanoy City man is facing charges for stealing a donation jar from a gas station in Schuylkill County.
According to the St. Clair Police Department, officers were contacted by the manager of the Sunoco Gas Station on South Second Street on June 20th, 2024, in regard to a theft.
The manager had video of a male removing a donation jar from the store counter and exiting the store with it.
The male would be identified as Brandon Brill, 26, of Mahanoy City
On June 25th, 2024, St. Clair Police Officer Vincent Bennett filed charges of theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and criminal trespass against Brill through Magisterial District Judge David Plachko's office. All charges were misdemeanors.
Brill is scheduled to appear before Judge Plachko on July 23rd, 2024, for a preliminary hearing.
