Multi-Alarm Fire Levels Home near Girardville

A fire leveled a home in Butler Township near Girardville on Wednesday afternoon.

Just after 1:30pm, Wednesday, emergency personnel were called to 9 Connerton Road for a house fire.  

Girardville Fire Chief Frank Zangari was first on scene and confirmed a fully involved house fire with all occupants out of the home.

The fire was upgraded to a 2nd alarm calling in additional manpower as well tankers due to the location.

Approximately 50 minutes after the original dispatch, the entire home which was engulfed in flames collapsed.

As of 3:30pm, tankers were being released, and a State Police Fire Marshal was on scene.

The home was reported to be occupied and no injuries were reported.

The cause was still under investigation.
