The 27th Annual Pioneer Day Celebration is set for Saturday at the Pioneer Tunnel Coal Mine & Steam Train and Higher Ups Park.
From 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, attendees can look forward to an event featuring over 100 crafters, vendors, and food trucks.
Located at 1900 Oak Street, the event has a lineup of activities. Visitors can enjoy coal mine and steam train tours, live entertainment, and an array of food trucks. The festivities will also include a selection of wineries such as Kulpmont Winery, Deep Roots Hard Cider, and King Cole Winery.
To ensure everyone’s safety, Snyder Road leading to Pioneer Tunnel will be closed for the duration of the event. There will be three pickup and drop-off locations on Centre Street in Ashland, with free parking and shuttle buses provided.
The shuttle locations are:
- 500 Block on Centre St.
- 1100 Block on Centre St.
- 200 Block on Centre St.
Look for the large blue shuttle bus feather flags and yellow balloons to guide the way. For those who prefer, walking up to the event is also an option.
