Pottsville Man Faces Assault Charges Following Domestic Incident

A Pottsville man is facing charges after an alleged domestic incident.
According to Pottsville Police, on July 4th, 2024, around 2:45pm Pottsville Police were dispatched to 319 W. Market Street for a report of a domestic dispute in progress.

Upon arrival, Ptl. Stephen Delinko spoke to the female victim who explained that her boyfriend, Dylan Bowers, age 31, got upset when their infant started crying this morning and Dylan threw a toy at her.

Dylan then started damaging a dresser and he punched a television during the argument. The victim explained that she was laying on the bed, bottle feeding the infant when Dylan was yelling at her that he wanted to kill her and calling her a dirty bitch like he always does. Then Dylan took his open hand and pushed his hand into her right cheek, striking her face and shoving her head to the left towards pillows where she showed me blood on the covers from his hand next to where her head was.

The victim indicated that her face and jaw hurt in that area.

Ptl. Delinko observed raised swollen cheek with bruising starting on her cheek.

Bowers denied touching the female victim and said he was just yelling at because she doesn't take care of the children.

Bowers was taken into custody and charged with Simple Assault pursuant to domestic violence and Harassment.

Bowers was arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge Stephen Bayer and released on $5,000 unsecured bail.
