This past Saturday, the sound of music rang through the city of Pottsville during the Yuengling Stars and Stripes Summer Celebration.
The event, which spanned from the iconic Yuengling Brewery to Arch Street and Progress Avenue, was a festive homage to live music and Yuengling beer.
A Day Filled with Music
The celebration's musical lineup was packed with an array of talent, kicking off with Zenith on the Yuengling Brewery Stage. Following them, Leisure Living took to the Arch Street Stage. As the day progressed, the Nick Tauer Band and The Martini Bros entertained the crowds
In the evening, the crowds gathered at the main stage acts on Progress Avenue. Local favorite Crobot opened the stage following by Lee Brice who headlined the event.
Yuengling Sisters Express Gratitude
Before Lee Brice took the stage, the Yuengling sisters—Jen, Wendy, Debbie, and Sheryl—made their traditional toast. The sisters took the opportunity to thank the fans for their support over the past 195 years.
Lee Brice Takes the Stage
Country music star Lee Brice, the event's headlining act, took the Main Stage at 8:00 pm, much to the delight of the 15,000 attendees gathered. Prior to his performance, Brice shared his excitement about returning to Pottsville. Sipping on a Yuengling Lager, he expressed his fondness for the small-town atmosphere, contrasting it with the larger arenas he typically performs in.
"It's amazing how you take this small town and see the big role Yuengling plays in it," Brice said. "There's just a different level of excitement here that I love, and that kind of energy really helps me on stage."
Brice also mentioned that after the show, he was heading out on a family vacation, making the day even more special as he transitioned from spending time with the Yuengling family to his own.
A Grand Finale
The celebration concluded with a fireworks display by Bixler Pyrotechnics, sponsored by the City of Pottsville, lighting up the night sky over Pottsville.
Saturday's event was organized by Yuengling, the Pottsville Business Association, and the City of Pottsville.
