Interstate 81 northbound is closed and the Schuylkill County Coroner's Office is at the scene of a fatal crash.
The crash occurred around 4:00pm in the northbound lanes of Interstate 81 in Pine Grove Township at mile marker 98. Early reports indicated the crash involved multiple vehicles with several severe injuries with one ejection.
At least one person was flown to the hospital with their injuries.
By 4:20pm, Tuesday, the Schuylkill County Coroner's Office was requested to the scene.
The Interstate 81 closed at exit 90 in Lebanon County heading northbound until further notice.
