Roger Dale Hubert, Sr., 73, of Cressona, passed away Monday, July 15th, at Geisinger St. Luke's Hospital, Orwigsburg.
Born in Alma, Michigan on November 11, 1950, he was a son of the late Joseph Henry Hubert & Dorothy Hubert Donnelly.
Roger was a 1970 graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School.
He had been employed by Omnova Solutions for 45 years as a mix specialist.
Roger was a member of First United Church of Christ, Schuylkill Haven.
He is survived by his son, Roger D. Hubert, Jr., of Winchester, VA; daughter, Marcy Hubert, of Summit Station, granddaughter, Emily Seaman, & companion, Emily (Dewald) Hubert, both of Cressona, and brothers & sisters, of Michigan.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, July 22nd at Geschwindt Stabingas Ebling Funeral Home, Inc., Schuylkill Haven, with Rev. Ms. Shawn Van Dyke officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of service.
Interment will be held privately.
Joseph B. "Poppa Joe" Lawson, husband, father, pap, brother, family patriarch,86 years of age, West Penn Twp., Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at Geisinger St. Luke's Hospital in Orwigsburg, Pennsylvania.
Born Friday, October 29, 1937 in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania the son of the late Joseph and Rose Margaret (Pierce) Lawson. Joe was also predeceased by his beloved wife, Nancy (Houser) Lawson on January 5, 2021; sisters, Lorraine R. Lawson; Phyllis A. Kranch, brother, Francis X. Lawson.
Surviving are; daughters, Margaret "Peg" Miller and her husband Darryl of Andreas, Melissa Lawson of New Ringgold; sons, Joseph M. Lawson and his wife Marla of West Penn, Jeffrey Lawson and his wife Gerri of West Penn, Jeremy Lawson of West Penn; brother, John J. Lawson of Tamaqua; grandchildren, Ashley Kovatch, Lawson Miller and his wife Katie, Elena (Lawson) Corson and her wife Ashley, Amber Lawson and her husband Cory, Ashley Fortin, Emily Lawson, Megane Lawson and her fiancé Dakota; great grandchildren, John Joseph Kovatch V, Miller Kovatch, Madison Fortin, Liam Fortin, Logan Fortin, Kyrie Lawson, Kolt Miller, Joey Conahan, Jaxon Streisel, Jayden Corson, Logan Corson, Jackson Corson, Lainey Miller. Many nieces and nephews also survive Joe.
A graduate of Marian Catholic High School, Joe was a devoted member of St. John XXIII R.C.C. of Tamaqua. He was a member of the Holy Name Society, and Knights of Columbus Father Henry Baker Chapter. Joe worked road construction all his life, and operated all the necessary equipment, supervising crews on road, and drainage projects. A member of the Steel Workers Association, Joe worked primarily for Barletta Construction. Joe maintained his family’s farm in West Penn Township, liked to ride his 1949 Harley Flathead, and enjoyed the companionship of his dog Amy. Joe, participated in Roundy Rounds Racing events.

A visitation will occur on Friday evening July 19, 2024 at the funeral home from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
Interment will be in St. Peter & Paul R.C.C. Cemetery Owl Creek Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
Christa Seiler, age 84, of Clarks Valley, passed away peacefully at home after a long battle with cancer. Surrounded by her loved ones, she left this world as she lived in it - full of grace and strength.
Christa is survived by her children, John Seiler, Nicole Crockford, and Amber Seiler; her stepchildren, Scott Seiler and Lana Rodichok; and close family friend, Brenda Soricelli. She is also lovingly remembered by her eight grandchildren.
Christa had a deep love for nature, finding joy in feeding her birds and hummingbirds. Her passion for flowers and gardening was well-known among those who knew her. A member of the Eastern Star, Christa was celebrated for her feisty and outgoing personality and her unwavering willingness to help those in need.
In her life, Christa experienced the profound loss of her late husbands, Jay Seiler of Tower City, and David Norris of Lykens, as well as her son, Ronald Seiler of Tower City. Despite these heartaches, her spirit remained resilient, and she continued to share her love and care with those around her.
Private funeral services will be held with family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations to be made in Christa's memory to Justice Animal Rescue, PO Box 1451, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
Christa's legacy of kindness and her zest for life will be cherished and remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Betty J Klinger, age 97, formerly of Barry Twp, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on Wednesday, June 1, 1927, in Valley View, a daughter of the late John Harner and the late Eva Burdell (Schucker) Harner.
Betty worked in several area garment factories and also at Romberger Furniture, prior to her retirement.
She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and baking.
Her husband, Earl R Klinger, passed away in 2005. She was also preceded in death by a son, Gary Klinger, a brother, Roy Harner, two infant brothers, and two sisters, Elva I Klinger and Elsie "Dolly" Ferree.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews and a sister in law.
Funeral services will be held at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Inc, Valley View, on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Benjamin Scholl officiating.
A viewing will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Barry Salem Cemetery, Weishample.
