Anna S. "Nancy" Zimmerman, age 93, passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, July 23, 2024.Nancy was born on March 16, 1931, in Saint Clair, the daughter of Kipling and Elizabeth (Ball) Strausser.
Nancy graduated from St. Stephen High School in Port Carbon, and worked over 40 years at H.L. Miller and Son in Port Carbon.
Nancy was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in Saint Clair and a previous member of St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church in Port Carbon.
Nancy enjoyed camping at Pennsylvania state parks, reading, doing puzzles, and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Charles A. “Chick” Zimmerman; brothers John, Bob, Bert, Ron, Ned and Bill; and sisters Jane, Catherine, and Beth.
Nancy is survived by children John, Port Carbon; Teresa and husband Kenneth Pittman, Bernville; Raymond and wife Debra, Lancaster; Clare and husband Paul Lorence, Cumbola; Gregory and wife Christine, Lancaster; Joan and husband Stanley Gertner, Walnutport; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Stephen's Chapel in Port Carbon at 11AM on Monday July 29th, with Rev. Edward Connolly officiating.
Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Monday morning from 10-11AM at the Chapel.
Interment will be held in St. Stephen Cemetery in Port Carbon.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Society of St. Stephen, P.O. Box 104, Port Carbon PA 17965.
