David Allen Smith, 65, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Thursday, July 25th, at his residence, surrounded by family.
Born in Pottsville on August 30, 1958, he was a son of the late Paul & Dawn (Stoudt) Smith.
Dave was a 1976 graduate of Blue Mountain High School.
He had worked as a self-employed contractor.
Dave is survived by three daughters: Crystal, wife of Mark Dasch, of Pine Grove;Amanda, wife of Jonathan Moyer, of Cressona; & Megan, wife of Christopher Kovaleski, of Pottsville. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Lauren, Annabelle, Luke, & Paige, great-grandson: Leonardo, sister, Darlene Dougherty, companion of James Clevenger, of Green Castle; brother, Stephen Smith, Sr., of Summit Station, and nieces & nephews.
In addition to his parents, Dave is also preceded in death by his brother, Paul Smith.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, July 30th at Geschwindt Stabingas Ebling Funeral Home, Inc., Schuylkill Haven. A viewing will be held from 10 AM until the time of service.
Interment will follow at St. John's New Cemetery, Auburn.
At the family's request, donations in Dave's memory may be forwarded to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.

Emily Lynn Thompson, 30 years of age of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania died on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at St. Luke's University Hospital Bethlehem.
Born Tuesday, January 11, 1994 in Lehighton, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Tami Lynn (Davis) Hinkle. Emily was also predeceased by her cousin, Eric D. Bachert.
Surviving are; father, Corey Thompson and his companion Carolyn Nolan; son, Bryson E. Griffin whom she adored, sister, Rachel L. Hinkle; maternal grandparents, Lenny, and Sandra Davis; paternal grandparents, Donald and Paula Confer; aunt, Lori L. Hadesty and her husband Dale; cousin, Amy J. Bachert and her companion Dylan Tower, and their newborn son Wesley L. Tower; step father, Rob Hinkle; stepsisters, McKenna Thompson, Megan Mielo, Ashley Debelli; uncle, Donald Confer III; companion, Jeff Hartz . Many more friends and extended family also survive Emily. ,
A 2012 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School Emily attended East Stroudsburg University. She worked for Pathways in the St. Clair School District, and formerly at CARES in Tamaqua.
Emily was quiet, kind and compassionate. She navigated much loss; however, adored her son, worshiped her grandparents and was constantly surrounded by a loving, and protecting family. Her legacy will be her son Bryson who will be raised with her memory engrained.

Interment Sky View Memorial Park Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
