The Tamaqua Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred late Friday.
According to Police, the incident occurred around 11:30pm when a black male, possibly Hispanic, approached and demanded money from the victim.
A physical altercation occurred between the suspect and the victim. During the altercation, the victim dropped a firearm. The suspect grabbed the firearm and fled the area in the direction of the Tamaqua Police Station.
