Traffic Information and Road Closures for the Yuengling Stars and Stripes Summer Celebration in Pottsville This Weekend

Traffic information and parking restrictions announced for the Yuengling Stars and Stripes Celebration scheduled for this weekend.

Information has been announced for Friday and Saturday as preparation begin for the event.

Friday, July 12th, 2024 - 6:00am

The following streets will close and remain closed until noon, Sunday, July 14th, 2024
  • Laurel Boulevard - From Centre Street to Terry Reiley Way (Access to County Services Building parking lot and Progressive Vision Institute parking lot will be available until close of business Friday.)
  • Progress Avenue - From East Race Street to the US Postal Facility (Access to Progress Cleaners will be available until close of business Friday.  The Post Office will be accessible from East Harrison Street)
  • Arch Street Parking Lot - Closed starting at 5:00pm on Friday, July 12th, 2024

Saturday, July 13th, 2024 - 6:00am

The following streets will close and reopen around 8:00pm on Saturday, July 13th, 2024
  • Mahantongo Street:  From 6th Street to South 2nd Street
  • South 2nd Street:  From Mahantongo Street to West Norewegian Street
  • North 2nd Street:  From West Norwegian Street to West Market Street
  • West Norwegian Street:  From North Centre Street to South 3rd Street

Saturday, July 13th, 2024 - 6:00am

  • Progress Avenue:  From East Norwegian Street to Terry Reiley Way
  • Laurel Boulevard:  From North Centre Street to Terry Reiley Way
  • East Race Street:  From North Centre Street to Progress Avenue
  • East Arch Street:  From North Centre Street to Terry Reiley Way
  • East Market Street:  From North Centre Street to Progress Avenue
  • Capitol Parking Deck:  Will be closed starting at Friday, July 12th, 2024 - All vehicles must be removed.
Saturday, July 13th, 2024 - 10:00am
  • North Centre Street:  From West Market Street to West Harrison Street
  • Laurel Boulevard:  From North 3rd Street to Terry Reiley Way

** Route 61, Route 209, South Centre Street, East and West Market Street may be congested during the event, but will remain open.
