A Zion Grove man is wanted by Ringtown Police after a motorcycle pursuit.
Ricky Teter, 46, of Zion Grove has been charged with fleeing or attempting to elude police, flight to avoid apprehension, driving with a suspended license, careless driving and other traffic violations following an incident that occurred on Sunday, July 14th, 2024, around 5:30pm.
According to court papers filed by Ringtown Police Officer Matt Williams, on that date, Williams was on duty heading east on Main Street in Ringtown when he saw Teter driving a Honda motorcycle heading the opposite direction.
Teter was already known by police to have a suspended driver's license and a bench warrant from the Schuylkill County Detectives.
Officer Williams activated his emergency lights and siren in an attempt to pull Teter over, but he began to flee at a high rate of speed.
Officer William followed Teter through several streets in Ringtown and into Union Township until he lost sight of him near the intersection of Farmers Road and Lumpy Lane.
As a result of the pursuit, Officer Williams filed the above charges through Magisterial District Judge Edward Tarantelli's office and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
