Employees of the envelope factory in Ashland today learned they will be out of a job at the end of October.
In 2021, Moore, acquired the Tri-State Envelope in Ashland along with its 324 employees. The main facility is on North 20th Street in the borough.
This week, the employees learned that operations at the facility will cease on October 28th, 2024. Employees at the facility say they were saddened but not surprised by the closure.
Attempts to reach the company for comment have not been successful.
This will mark the second factory to close in Ashland in 2024 as Brigade Manufacturing, the former Gitman Shirt, also ceased production earlier this year.
We will pass along more information when its available.
