Compassus Hospice and Senator Argall Honor Veterans

Compassus Hospice, based in Hamburg, recently hosted a special Veteran pinning ceremony and town hall discussion, which included Pennsylvania State Senator David G. Argall.

During the ceremony, 30 residents of the Schuylkill Center were honored for their military service. Each veteran received a commemorative pin, a small but meaningful token of gratitude for their dedication and sacrifice to our country.

The event didn't just stop at the ceremony. A town hall discussion followed, providing an opportunity for attendees to engage directly with Senator Argall. Key issues were addressed, and insights were shared, particularly focusing on the future of post-acute care.

Jenelle August-Himes, the Hospice Director of Clinical Services at Compassus Hamburg, expressed her gratitude, saying, 'We are deeply grateful to Senator Argall for joining us in honoring our veterans and engaging in meaningful dialogue with our community. Events like these are essential in recognizing the contributions of our veterans and fostering a sense of community among those involved in post-acute care.'

Compassus Hamburg is a proud Level 4 Partner of the 'We Honor Veterans' program, a national initiative by the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. This program is dedicated to addressing the unique needs of our aging servicemen and servicewomen, ensuring they receive the respect and care they deserve as they approach the end of life.
