Driver Jailed After Early Morning Chase Ends in Crash Under Mount Carbon Arch Bridge

A Port Carbon man is locked up in Schuylkill County Prison after being involved in a pursuit and crash early Tuesday.

According to Pottsville Police, on Tuesday, August 13th, 2024, around 1:00am, Pottsville Patrolman Hrebik of the Pottsville Bureau of Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a Tan Ford F150 traveling eastbound on West Market Street.

The F-150 began fleeing on Centre Street towards Mount Carbon.
